The Raymond Fire Department and Pacific County Fire District #3 are always looking for new Volunteers.  These dedicated Volunteer Professinals are the backbone of our service, providing initial response for Fire and EMS calls throughout our community.

There is a great deal of excitement and a pride that comes with being a volunteer. The satisfaction, camaraderie, and experience received from the fire service is often beyond compare. However, this work is not for everyone. Firefighters need courage, dedication, assertiveness, and above all a desire to help others in need. Firefighters perform strenuous tasks that test their abilities in uncertain and often hazardous situations.

Our community and citizens rely heavily on the services provided by our committed volunteers. Whether it be extinguishing a structure fire, extricating a trapped motorist from their vehicle, saving a life, or simply taking a patient’s blood pressure, your experience will be unique and filled with variety and challenge.

Volunteer Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • Must reside in District Response Area
  • No felony convictions or crimes against a person
  • Provide a Washington State DOL Driver's Abstract Report
  • Agree to Department Background Check, Drug Screening and Physical Exam
